Welcome to the Kentucky School Media Association web page! This page is dedicated to the school library media specialists in Kentucky. KSMA is the professional organization of all Kentucky School Library Media Specialists, a state affiliate of the Kentucky Library Association and a national affiliate of the American Association of School Librarians and the American Library Association.
HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER?
To join KSMA, complete the application for membership on the KLA website and choose Kentucky School Media Association as your section.

The Kentucky School Media Association exists to:
Encourage professional growth among its members through offering opportunities for study and participation in professional activities.
Promote the improvement of school library media services in Kentucky and the nation.
Cooperate/collaborate with other educators, other library media agencies and the community in improving all types of library media services for young people in Kentucky and the nation.
Listserv and Wiki Available!
Join the network of school library media specialists across the state by subscribing to our listserv. Go to LISTSERVs sponsored by the University of Kentucky and choose KYLMS. One other listserv to encourage parents to join is KYPALS - KY Parent Advocates of Libraries(Schools).
KSMA members now have the opportunity to to participate in our Wiki. A wiki is basically a website in which you or other membes can view and edit content. Anyone may read the information, but only KSMA members will have the password to add and edit pages. Our wiki can be found at http://kysma.pbwiki.com The password is schoolmedia.
